I agree, Ange that Where or When is a gorgeous song & would have been great on the album, as well as Lady With the Mandolin.
I think Marti's vocals on the album are brilliant-such control. Although there are only a few tracks on here that I knew before hearing Marti sing them, I really feel he has made these songs his own.
I love the way the album starts so gently & I remember the first time I heard the album, being impressed by the segue into 'A Child Is Born'. That really works well, I think.
Those high notes in 'You Don't Know What Love Is' are superb & I love the ending of that track. I really enjoy 'When The World Was Young'. 'Tell Me All About It' really makes me smile-I love the brass & strings on it, 'You Must Believe In Spring' is such a positive song & I've loved 'I'm Glad There Is You' from the very first time I heard Marti sing it on his Between the Covers tour. Who Can I Turn To took my breath away when I first heard Marti's version of it. This song is special for me as it was sung by Anthony Newley & my Mum had an autographed photo of him!

Two other things that I think are outstanding about this album are Jim's piano playing and Chris Dagley's drumming. As I'm not well up with jazz, I sometimes get a bit lost with the jazz style of piano, but Chris's drumming comes in & brings me right back into the rhythm of the songs. GREAT!
