MARTI WEAVES DEVILISH MAGIC

Take your average, everyday horny little devil and put him on stage and you end up with one hell of a sexy show.

Wet Wet Wet singer Marti Pellow is ladies man Darryl Van Horne who comes to town to raise a little hellfire when he is summoned by three friends.

"Make him as handsome as the devil, but perfectly divine", they wish over a martini...or two.

Their drink-fuelled wish is granted as Van Horne descends on their small town and proceeds to charm each one of them into his bed.

This is a devil with just one thing on his mind-sex,sex and more sex.

It's enough to make an innocent reviewer blush, but there's no denying Marti Pellow utterly captures the charms and danger of the serial seducer in this adult musical. And, of course, he knows how to belt out a song.

Some of the music is a little so-so, but is doesn't diminish the singing talents of Ria Jones, Rebecca Thornhill and Poppy Tierney as the three friends.

They discover through Darryl that there is more than a little magic in their lives and they are more powerful than they think.

The musical boasts some strong performances, but Rachel Izen as town battleaxe Felicia Gabriel partically stands out. Felicia has a face that could sink a thousand ships and her looks of disapproval at Darryl and his harem would turn lemons sour.

The cast work like a charm and Marti Pellow in action is sheer magic.
