Before the performances, Marti said he felt there would be a sense of growth in seeing Hannah improve her singing through the competition. All the couples sang one pop song each and Hannah and Marti were the last couple to perform their song, ‘Reunited’, originally by Peaches and Herb.

Hannah was obviously very nervous but she & Marti brought in some lovely harmony. The judges gave some encouraging remarks, saying it’s a difficult song, but that Hannah did well. Tito congratulated Marti on the help he had given Hannah. The judges’ score of 25 points put Hannah and Marti in 3rd position, though Hannah argued that they were actually 2nd because Luke and Natasha and Mark and Sarah were joint first!

Later in the show, Marti sang a duet with Natasha Hamilton-Let There Be Love, which was greatly appreciated by the audience.

With the phone results in, it was very pleasing for Hannah & Marti to be the first to be told they were definitely through to the next round. As Marti said, all their hard work had paid off.

Gregg Wallace and Carol Decker were the first couple to leave the show.
